Virtual Engineering For Insurance Claims

How to work with CIE… for Adjusters, Contractors, Roof Technicians and Homeowners

Insurance claims – Cissell Investigative Engineering (CIE) works with general contractors, roof technicians, adjusters and homeowners virtually to answer engineering related questions to help resolve claims quickly and cost-effectively as follows:

  1. The representative adjuster contacts CIE with a scheduled time they will be on site. Alternatively, the property owner, contractor or their representative can call CIE to schedule a time for a virtual engineering inspection.
  2. Next, CIE provides a link to the virtual inspection session and/or any support applications needed. Recorded sessions can be provided, if desired.
  3. Then, CIE e-mails the representative:
    1. a guide or link to initiate access.
    2. a list of tools and equipment for the virtual inspection.
    3. a checklist of initial photos to be taken for documentation.
  4. During the appointment, CIE guides the on-site representative to specific areas for video inspection and documentation and/or locations where additional photos or investigation may be required.
  5. Finally, verbal opinions are provided, and the adjuster/representative decides if a report or further on-site engineering inspections are needed.
